When your body has changed that much, you’re not even sure what looks good or what you like. We did a quick peruse around the shop, selected a few items of interest, and went to work creating outfits that showcased HER!
It was fun to watch her countenance shift as she looked at herself in the mirror. With a few helpful tips (thanks, Julie Shields, for the education on fashion and style!), she settled into recognizing what looked good and what felt fabulous! That evening, she wore one of her newfound outfits. When I complimented her, she blushed – a knowing look that she knew she looked GOOD!
“When you’re wearing something from Treasure House, you have to represent!” I teasingly admonished her. “You need to display a bit of sass and spunk.”
“…and the sweeping hand gesture, right?” she quipped back with a knowing smile!
A few days later, she texted me, expressing deep gratitude for her new outfits. She was so very thankful to be seen and dressed in a way that let her be comfortable in her own skin.
