Anyone can shop at our meticulously maintained store. When you do, you support our mission of helping women in need. Your deeply discounted bargains contribute to roughly 70% of our operating revenue. You feel great about your notable brand-name “treasures”, and you help us support women in transition or crisis. We use the magic of “retail therapy” as a healing balm on bruised souls. That is shopping with a mission!
Since the pandemic, we have abundant merchandise because purging closets was the pandemic pastime! We pass along our bountiful resources with additional discounts and crazy themed sales, complete with costumes. Life can be challenging (as we found out in recent years) and laughter is a wonderful medicine.
We are part of a caring network of organizations that invest in the women of our community. We distribute gift certificates for clothing at our shop through over 60 agencies – we’re their “closet”! These agency partners address needs such as homelessness, addiction recovery, former incarceration, unwed mothers, domestic violence, poverty, divorce care, health problems (cancer and mental health), unemployment, and natural disasters (flood and fire).
Our partner agencies do not have the space to store or display clothing donations, nor do they have the additional staff to process merchandise. Working together with Treasure House, our partners can focus on their specific programs – we have the clothing covered!
