Volunteers sprung up this Spring and spruced up our House! We LOVE VOLUNTEERS and hope you’ll consider joining us sometime soon! It helps us and adds to your health and happiness!
Volunteers from Kawneer Cranberry’s Arconic Women’s Network came to our House on April 10th to paint our interior. These gals were wielding paintbrushes in the bathroom, fitting rooms, doors and walls with passion and flare! They were willing to tackle any task set before them and maintained a positive and caring attitude throughout the day! THANKS, Ladies and special THANKS to Debbie Walker for setting this up!
Twenty-seven Comcast employees and invited guests celebrated Comcast Cares Day at our House on April 20 – EARTH DAY! It seemed only fitting to give a “face lift’ to our exterior! They dug in – literally! – to remove nasty shrubbery and weeds, to plant flowers and ground cover, to trim bushes along our building and to mulch all over! Litter was removed and the entire process far exceeded our expectations! WOW! We are so grateful for the spring spruce up provided around our grounds. THANKS to ALL the Volunteers and special THANKS to Kristen Bell for coordinating everything!
We love ALL volunteers from various organizations, but I must confess I’m very partial to the phenomenal, tender-hearted ladies that serve each and every day at our House. Some come every week; some once or twice a month; some help with special events or special projects – but ALL are so deeply appreciated.
On April 24 we celebrated our volunteers with a wild night of bingo, pizza, salad and prizes!! Special THANKS to Cindy Backes, our Volunteer Coordinator, who did an exceptional job in this playful evening of appreciation!
Dr. Oz says volunteering is the BEST thing for your health and happiness! We want YOU to be healthy and happy! We need help on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays – so JOIN US!!
