In the past, sales at our shop have generated over 70% of our operating revenue…until the world-wide pandemic! We’ve plowed our way through the COVID craziness – with YOUR HELP! We’re still here and we’re dusting off our dreams!! It’s been a slow process to regain shoppers but they’re coming back and new shoppers are being added! WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!! I often say, “It takes a Village!” We can’t do what we do – touching the lives of women, particularly women on challenging journeys – without YOUR on-going support! Just Want You to Know… The text came from a long-time friend: her daughter had a friend who is working hard in her rehab program – but she has nothing in the way of clothing. Could she bring her to Treasure House? Would we help her? OF COURSE – that’s what we do!! The two gals arrived at the shop. Sally gave the gals a quick tour, explained the gift certificates, and told them to “get busy” shopping. Over and over these young ladies called the volunteers or Sally over to show off the new-found treasures. “Jenna” (not her real name) was grinning ear to ear as “Tasha” her friend gently helped with selections. “This is like playing dress-up with a real-live Barbie! She’s so excited to have something nice to wear to group,” Tasha shared. The gals giggled and laughed as they completed their shopping spree. Jenna was uncertain she’d be able to get all she had selected. ” You can have everything! Women who don’t even know you care enough to leave Pay It Forward gift certificates to cover all of it!” “I can’t believe you did all this! Whoever these ladies are, tell them ‘Thank You’! This means so much to me!!” “You’re doing the hard work and it’s not easy! Do us proud, sweetie!” “I will!”
