“Janette” arrived with her Urban Impact mentor. It was prom season and she needed a dress – but her mom was not able to invest in one. The mentor talked with Cindy (one of the founding board members) and asked if she knew of a resource that could help this young gal.

“Bring her to Treasure House,” she announced!
“This gal needs to be loved on!” the mentor insisted. “She’s had a rough life – she still has a rough life, but she’s so precious. She needs to have some people “fuss” over her. ”
Cindy and I met them at 3:30 PM – almost closing time – and we stayed late, ooohing and aaahing over each new outfit.
The young gal was adorable and looked fabulous in each gown. It was hard for her to decide which one she wanted. There was a purple gown with a rhinestone belt, a white Cleopatra dress, a blue chiffon gown, a hot pink with an overlay…
She finally selected a beautifully fitting sheath with rhinestones diagonally scattered across the bodice and a long skirt with a tasteful side slit. A PERFECT FIT!
We found silver mesh shoes for this Cinderella and a vintage earrings & necklace set that accentuated the rhinestones perfectly!
She was beaming! She looked fabulous, and she knew it! What a difference in her countenance after hearing three doting women affirm the treasure within!
