These renovations have been percolating for a LONG TIME – since before the pandemic! Making the building fully accessible is important and needed to serve the women we care about! We received money from grants, but our contractors have strongly encouraged us to complete some add-ons while we have the store shut down…replacing our front windows, removing unneeded entries in the rear, and completing the ADA bathroom in the mezzanine. That’s an additional $100,000! As of today (this was not yet publicized), we already have $12,000 gifted. It’s exciting. It’s scary. It’s possible. It’s a unique opportunity to make a long-term difference.
We launched our campaign, Put Your Heart in Treasure House, with this in mind, knowing that additional expenses would occur during renovations. If you’ve been blessed by THF or love what we offer to women, especially those in transition or crisis, we invite you to Put Your Heart in Treasure House! Contributions have started – individuals, groups of individuals, and businesses! I’ve made my contribution because I’m choosing to live in joy and generosity! I invite you to JOIN US! It takes a village, and this is a time we need our village. Here are the two options:

We’re so excited to get this project underway! Meanwhile, we received confirmationthat we are awarded funds from Elsie H. Hillman Foundation ($75,000) to upgrade our electrical system. You know what’s coming next – the elevator. We are in conversation with a foundation (to be announced) regarding funding for that. Let’s DO this – left foot, right foot with a little help from our friends!
AND we’re prepping for our Birthday Ball Thursday, SEPT 25 – 6-9pm (celebrating 25 years on SEPT 25th!). We’ve gotten bottles of wine, a few sponsors…but we need MORE!
