MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU was the playful tagline for our semi-annual Raid Our Closet! We opened the back curtains to the not-yet-displayed merchandise and invited customers “shop ’til you drop” with ALL our amazing fashions. Shoppers were giddy to get 60% OFF for EVERYONE on EVERYTHING the ENTIRE day during extended hours: 11AM to 8PM. What amazing bargains!!
Staff donned Star Wars attire to add to the festive atmosphere, and if a shopper quoted a line from the Stars Wars series (with the help of quotes painted on the back of Shop Coordinator Tracy Kincaid’s shirt or the “cheat sheet” posted by Constance Pearson in the ‘far away planet’ of the Back Room), she received a free scarf! All the while Yodo (Executive Director Sally Power) wondered around assisting or chatting with customers. It was FASHION, it was FUN and yes, it was a little bit crazy…but all enjoyed the bargains and the entertainment. Nothing like a bargain – and a bit of playful silliness – to bring a smile to many faces!!
Speaking of bargains, some of you are already asking about BAG SALE. First of all, the bargains begin (and increase) during the entire month of JULY.
